Hi guys whats up ?? Here we are again with another quality review. Megadeth to me have returned to what they do best on this album, THRASH. Now for those of us who bought RISK ( and believe me it was a risk ) were just a little disappointed on the whole thing. It was the worst MEGADETH album to date
but they have made it up to us on this one. I can listen to this and it takes me back to 1986 when my best friend Allen and I were crusing to the beach listening to " Peace sells " and killing a whole bunch of brain cells, The new stuff has that same intensity as the stuff on the earlier Megadeth records. Dave is back pissed off as ever, Thundering drums and bass accent this point. The guitar is totally old school MEGADETH, Dave Mustaine is still the king of the searing guitar solo. I would say this is the flagship of thrash albums for 2001, something that other bands are going to try to imitate but I doubt will succeed.
Megadeth may have strayed off the path over the years, but they still havent lost thier edge ( like some other bands that begin with the letter M )MEGADETH still believes in the art of thrashing and so do I !!!!. My favorite tracks are : 1000 Times Goodbye, Disconnected, Recipe for Hate, Return to Hanger. Add this to your collection soon, Its destined to become a classic..
